The LS2 replaced the LS1 in 2005-2007 Corvettes and GTOs. The LS2 bore was increased to 4.0 inches and displaces 6.0 liters. Other improvements were high flow intake manifolds and a 90 mm throttle body as well as increased 10.9:1 compression. The LS2 retained the cathedral port LS6 cylinder heads.
